Surf School Fuerteventura Courses

 

Surf School Fuerteventura - 1 day (beginner)

You will be collected from you apartment or hotel either at 10am or 1.30 pm depending what time was confirmed to you. You then get taken to our surf centre where once all paper work is filled then you choose a wetsuit and board, load it on the Landrover and we head to the best beach.

At the beach the group is arranged into a semi circle where they will undergo a surfing specific warm up and safety brief, where all students are made aware of the lesson plan, dangers and all the signals/commands used by the instructors.

On the beach all parties are then introduced to the prone section of the lesson, where they will be instructed on how to enter the water safely and ride waves from waist depth whilst lying down on the surfboard into the shore. This is followed by the "drop knee" position before attempting to stand and ride a wave.

At all times you will be made aware of all the coaches signals, directions and encouraged to ask questions if you are not sure about anything, your enjoyment, care and safety is our main concern

At the end of the session you will be dropped off at the hotel/ apartment after you have had a chance to review pictures/ videos that have been made of the days surfing

It is our aim to have you standing after 3 days! In these 3 days you will learn how to stand up and primary water safety. We will spend 3-4 hours in the water everyday learning standing techniques, board control, paddling and wipe out survival!! In addition to that you will also be given theory lessons on types of breaks, surf board design, equipment, history and water survival and safety.

At all times you will be made aware of all the coaches signals, directions and encouraged to ask questions if you are not sure about anything, your enjoyment, care and safety is our main concern

At the end of the session you will be dropped off at the hotel/ apartment after you have had a chance to review pictures/ videos that have been made of the days surfing.

Surf School Fuerteventura - 3 days (intermediate)

To join this course you will need to be able to stand up on the board. You will be collected from you apartment or hotel either at 10am or 1.30 pm depending what time was confirmed to you. You then get taken to our surf centre where once all paper work is filled then you choose a wetsuit and board, load it on the Landrover and we head to the best beach.

At the beach the group is arranged into a semi circle where they will undergo a surfing specific warm up and safety brief, where all students are made aware of the lesson plan, dangers and all the signals/commands used by the instructors.

It is our aim to have you catch and ride the green waves by the end of the course. In the 3 days you will be given specialised instruction on technique and skills according to your ability. We will be spending 3-4 hours per day . This will allow our instructors to correct any mistakes and work through problems that you may be having. You will also receive theory on reading the conditions, understanding swell as well as helpful hints from the Pros!!

At all times you will be made aware of all the coaches signals, directions and encouraged to ask questions if you are not sure about anything, your enjoyment, care and safety is our main concern.

At the end of the session you will be dropped off at the hotel/ apartment after you have had a chance to review pictures/ videos that have been made of the days surfing.

By the end of the 5 day course you should be standing and getting to feet correctly. Trimming the surfboard by helping you develop a surfers stance…controlling the speed and direction of the surfboard with vital information on foot placement and body mechanics.

At all times you will be made aware of all the coaches signals, directions and encouraged to ask questions if you are not sure about anything, your enjoyment, care and safety is our main concern.

At the end of the session you will be dropped off at the hotel/ apartment after you have had a chance to review pictures/ videos that have been made of the days surfing.
